We are the mycology lab at the University of Molise in the Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Science. Our research focuses on fungi of interest for biotechnological applications and in the medical field. Our research uses a variety of experimental approaches, from standard microbiology methods to molecular biology techniques, including forward genetic mutant screens, classical Mendelian genetics, phylogenetic comparisons, genomic profiling and gene expression analyses on yeasts and fungi to understand biological processes of interest
